Mini Carousel Fun

Brant and I went to the mall today to get my jewelry cleaned and inspected. I took him to play at the playground in the mall while we waited and then he went for a ride on the carousel. He LOVED it! The first ride he kept wanting to switch between the car, duck, and motorcycle on the carousel. He ended up riding the carousel three times (it cost $1 each time) before I told him that we had to go, and of course he threw a fit and didn't want to leave. We picked up my jewelry and then I took him to Toys R Us to spend a gift card he got from his Aunt Cheryl (one of the sweet ladies at my work) and he picked out a toddler sized basketball hoop. I'm sure I'll be posting some pictures of him playing with that soon once Jason puts it together. We went to Chick fil A for lunch and then we went home for his nap. We had a fun time together and he was a good boy except for the small fit when he had to leave the carousel, but that was expected for a toddler. Hooded Cutie

Brant's Grandma got him several new shirts and some new shorts that she gave to us last weekend. Brant got to put on one of his new shirts today and he loved the attached hood and kept calling it his hat, until he learned it was called a hood. He now sometimes calls it a hat and sometimes a hood. I took some pictures of my little cutie wearing his new hoodie playing around on the couch. Bye Bye Curls

Jason took Brant to get his haircut this weekend and now he doesn't have his cute little curls anymore. He looks so handsome and clean cut with his new haircut. Here is a picture from the front, I didn't get any from the back, but you can see the difference from this picture and the one I got of him from the side. Some of the hair in the back does try to curl some still, but it just isn't quite the same. He was very proud of his new "aircut" he pronounces it without the "h" and sounds so cute saying it. Chillin' with the Cousins

Today Aunt Jenny, Hannah, Lynzie, and Molly came over to play. Aunt Jenny and Mommy played around with digital scrapbooking stuff while the cousins watched movies, and played with Brant's toys. After Brant took a nap we all went to our community pool to swim for a little while before they had to head back home. Here are some of the pictures from the pool.

Sprinklers and the hose

Today Brant got his first taste of playing in our sprinklers and playing with our hose outside in the backyard. I turned on our sprinkler system so he could play in the water first, he was very hesitant and kept trying to duck the water so he wouldn't get really wet. He brought one of his balls outside to play with in the water and he had a great time kicking it with me and throwing it and then going to get it to play some more. His favorite part was when I let him play with the hose in the backyard. He had a great time watering the fence, the tree, the patio, his slide, and different parts of the grass. He sprayed himself good in the face several times and tried (unsuccessfully) to drink the water from the hose. He was really cute playing in the water outside, and I'm having fun enjoying the time I have with him before I have to go back to work and he goes back to his school. Chisholm Aquatics Center

Tina and I took the girls and Brant out to a quick lunch at Whataburger and then took them to the Chisholm Aquatics Center. The kids had a great time playing in the water. Brant was too scared to get on the slide more than one time since I couldn't go down with him so I didn't get any pictures of him on the slide. I couldn't find my small camera so I just used my camera to take the pictures (I think I still got some pretty good ones). Here are the pictures from today.

The many expressions of Brant

Brant and I always have such fun together going to different things or just hanging out together around the house. I love how many cute facial expressions he uses each day. I took out the camera (I know, finally) and took some shots of him today and here are some of my favorite expressions. All of the pictures were taken within about 10-15 minutes this morning.
