Today after Brant took his nap we all went down to the park. Jason and I walked while Brant rode his new Spider-Man bike. We changed his clothes when he woke up since he striped out of his sweats for his nap and it was warm out so he was actually able to wear shorts, the opposite of the cold weather we had here yesterday when he was wearing sweats and a jacket at the end of March. He had fun riding his bike, climbing up the slide and playing at the park. He also likes to walk around the perimeter of the park and pretend he is on a balance beam and then run when he gets closer to us where it is not as narrow. I love watching him have so much fun and enjoy himself. I treasure these times we have together as a family, and I know that I am truly blessed to have such a sweet little boy and a good husband. Here are some pictures of his bike ride to the park and of him playing at the park.

Busy Day
We started out the morning with Mommy taking a picture session of Brant to show off how he tells you how old he is with his fingers and the number three. He doesn't show three fingers the way most kids do but two fingers and his thumb to make a three like they do in sign language. I think its pretty cute, but he didn't want to cooperate very well except when he was making his newest silly face.
After the picture session I got ready to go and we went for a shopping trip to Toys R Us to spend the money that my friend Cheryl gave him for his birthday. He had fun looking at all the toys and had difficulty deciding what he wanted to get. We left Toys R Us with a Speed Racer car and Speed Racer figure, Batman figure with a car, and of course a new ball.
Next we went out to lunch with Aunt Mo and Riley at Red Robin. Brant sat next to Riley while Aunt Mo and I tried to snap some pictures of them. They didn't want to smile like we know they can, but they are too cute together anyway.
When lunch was over we made a trip over to Starbucks and got a vanilla bean cream frappacino (made with milk not coffee) and shared that as we went to our next stop. The next stop was Michaels to pick out a new album for me to scrapbook Brant from year three to four in. He picked out a red album with circles on it. He wanted to get a pink one with flowers, but his mean Mommy wouldn't let him.
Finally we came home and he is now trying (or rather not really trying) to take a nap. We have had a busy day and it is only half over.
Here are some pictures from today.

Visit from Mimi
Mimi came over today to play for a while with Brant. She took him for a visit to the park and he rode his bike there and back. I took a few pictures of them and of Brant by himself when they got back. Brant didn't want more pictures taken after the mamarattzi got him this morning so he kept trying to ride his bike away from Mimi and I while we tried to take pictures. He ended up riding into the grass and couldn't pedal very well, and he had to try to drag his bike back onto the sidewalk. It was pretty funny watching him get frustrated, that's what happens when you try to avoid the camera Brant, but at least he didn't get hurt. Brant really enjoyed having Mimi visit, and didn't want her to leave. I know he'll look forward to her next visit.
That's Bright Mommy!
Brant brought me my camera bag today with my digital SLR camera (the big expensive one) much to my dismay and told me one of the lenses fell out. I told him I needed to take some pictures with it to make sure it was okay. It was, but he made some cute irritated and pouty faces for the pictures I had to share. While I was taking them he kept telling me it was too bright because the flash kept going off. I love watching his expressive face. Here are the pictures.

Playdough Fun
Brant got some sets of playdough from Aunt Jenny and his cousins along with from his friend Elliot. He really enjoys playing with them and making the playdough come out of the animals and make them look funny. He takes them and runs back to show his Daddy how silly they look. Its great to see him enjoying his birthday presents and just having fun at home.
