Sprinklers!

We finally broke out the new sprinkler toy that Brant got for his birthday now that it hasn't been raining and it is definitely warm enough. He had so much fun running through it and around it acting scared of getting wet, but loving every minute. He got down close to play with the little sprayers like a hose and it was so cute. I love seeing him having so much fun enjoying every moment. Here are some pictures of him playing with his new sprinkler water toy from Denny and Ci-Ci.

Speckled Frog Song

Brant has been singing the Five Little Speckled frog a lot this week in the car. I tried to get video of him on my phone singing it, but it is a little shaky because we were sitting at a light and occasionally I had to move up while he was still singing. Here he is (by the way he has no shirt on because we are on our way to the pool to go swimming).

Happy Birthday Avery!

Brant's cousin Avery had her birthday at Boomerang's (a blow-up bounce house type place) and we went there to celebrate her birthday. Brant had a great time playing in the many different blow-ups, there was a Lightning McQueen one he went in the most along with one that looked like a pirate ship. He had fun going down the slides and crawling in the tunnels. He wanted to play a car game, but it wasn't working so he just played with the wheel anyway. He also spent some time playing games with Aunt Jenny to win tickets and chose some fun bubba teeth as his prize, and I took some pictures of him wearing them of course. Avery had a frog themed party and Aunt Lisa made everyone frog hats. I manged to get pictures of Brant, Hannah, Avery, Lynzie, and Molly in their hats but I forgot to get one of Elissa by herself but she is wearing one in the picture of her watching the presents being opened. Brant did not want to leave until we told him the good news that he was going to get to spend the night with his cousins Avery, and Elissa at Aunt Lisa's house. Aunt Lisa reported that he did a good job, but got scared at night and woke up screaming once (Avery and Elissa manged to sleep through it) and slept with her on the couch when she went to get him. He at his dinner like a champ and his cousins showed him that broccoli can be yummy when its covered in broccoli (THANK YOU Avery and Elissa and Aunt Lisa). We are so glad that he had such a good time and I know he will want to do it again sometime soon. We hope that Avery, Elissa, Aunt Lisa and Uncle Ronnie are having fun on their Disney Cruise and thank them for the fun time and letting Mommy and Daddy have a date night and get to sleep in. :) Here are some pictures from the party.

The Pool is Open

Well the pool has been open for a few weeks now, but I finally took Brant to the pool to swim today after I picked him up from school. He acted like a little scaredy cat, and didn't want to be in the pool much. We walked around from pool to pool a lot and he would act like he was getting in and then not do it. He got in the small round pool for a little while, but didn't really swim and just walked around and played with his water football. I made him go in the big pool for a little while, but he got tired of that quick and then he told me he was ready to go. We only stayed there maybe 15 minutes total including time to dry off afterwards. Oh well. Hopefully next time it will go better. He was a good helper when we left and helped to carry the pool noodles out to the car. Here are some pictures I got today.

Let's go fly a kite

I took Brant to the park for a little while after Little Gym this Saturday and we stopped by the house to grab his Spider-man kite. It took a little while to get it put together, but then we got it outside and he did great with it. He wasn't interested in it for too long, but he isn't interested in very much for long periods at this stage. I took a few pictures with my phone. Here they are.

Pen Boy

Brant managed to find a pen today and wrote on his face and his chest then came to show me his handiwork. I don't know where he manged to find one, but I had to document the moment with a few pictures before I washed it all off of him. Here they are.
