You say chapstick and he says chopstick

Brant has a new obsession lately and it is with chapstick. He calls it chopstick and gets irritated with us as we try to correct his pronounciation. He loves putting chapstick on his lips and he even has his own Blistex lip balm. Brant knows it is his because he lost the lid to it and I had to take the lid off another kind of chapstick and put it on it and so it has a red lid on it instead of a green one. He loves putting chapstick on and putting it in his pants pockets. He will pull it out and put it on every few minutes until you tell him that is enough for a while and that he has to put it away. I took some pictures the day Brant and Daddy got their hair cuts of Brant with his favorite new obsession his Blistex chapstick. Here are the pictures of Brant and his new obession.

Faux Hawk

Daddy took Brant to go get their hair cut on Sunday. Daddy said that Brant was really cute telling all the ladies at Sport Clips stories and being adorable and charming. He came home with a cute faux hawk that they did to his hair and he looked so cute I had to take some pictures to capture the moment. Here are some pictures of Brant and some of Brant and Daddy after getting their hair cuts. My guys sure are handsome!

I got a boo-boo like Daddy

Brant has been fascinated by Daddy's boo-boos since Jason had his gallbladder removed after Christmas this year. He is always asking to see his Daddy's boo-boos and asks him if his tummy hurts. Brant got a scratch on his finger at school a little over a week ago and he was very dramatic about it telling everyone he saw that he had a scratch and it hurt really bad and would show them his band-aid. He didn't want to bend his finger or get his band-aid wet. He kept acting like he couldn't even use the hand the band-aid was on. It was really funny and adorable. Here are some pictures of him showing off his boo-boo just like Daddy's.

A horse is a horse, of course, of course

Brant and I went to the store to pick up a few things after I picked him up from daycare last Wednesday and he was a good boy so he got to ride on the mini carousel horse ride they have outside the Albertson's. He LOVES this ride, and I let him ride it twice and he was so cute telling them giddy up and making horsey sounds. I took some pictures and video with my camera phone to capture the moment. Here are some pictures and video from that day.

Free Wheelin'

Brant LOVES his new truck! He took it out last Saturday for its first outside ride since getting it home to our house. He loves to turn the wheel, and much to Daddy's dismay usually the opposite direction Daddy is trying to make the truck go most of the time. He also loves to honk the horn. He rode it up to go visit our neighbors Carolyn and Denny and show off his driving skills. Who says you have to be 16 to drive? Here are so pictures of him on his new wheels just like his Daddy and Grandpa driving a Silverado. Go Brant!

Ridin' the Range

Brant got all dressed up like a little cowpoke and went to his Aunt Michelle's with his Mimi, Aunt Michelle, MeMaw Frances, and his cousins Hannah, Lynzie, Avery, and Elissa to go see her horses and get his first horse ride. Brant loved riding the horse and had a great time with his cousins playing around and getting to spend time with their horse. Here are some pictures of the cutest cowboy around.

Wagons, Trucks, and Hippos OH MY!

We celebrated Christmas for the last time on Saturday December 27th at Brant's Great Grandpa and Great Grandma Allen's house. Brant started out the afternoon with a ride in Great Grandpa's new wagon with his cousins. The wagon was a HUGE hit with the kids and they all rode in it together and took turns pulling it except Hannah and Brant got a little help from Daddy to help pull his cousins Hannah and Lynzie in the wagon.

Before Christmas Brant's Grandpa Allen called me and asked if it would be okay if he got a remote control truck from both him and his Great Grandparents and I said that it would be fine he would probably love to have two to play with or to race Daddy with. To my surprise Grandpa Allen came into the house with a box that was almost as big as Brant and I was in shock, the truck that he got (a Chevy Silverado of course since he works for GM) was a size that the kids could ride on it and someone else could control it or it can be switched to manual control for Brant to control it himself (which will wait until he is older and can handle that). Needless to say the two trucks were nothing alike except for the fact that once we got them home we discovered that the remotes are on the same frequency and both work on both machines so we have to make sure they aren't both on at the same time if we don't want demolition derby trucks. Brant and the girls loved the ride on truck and Brant was nice enough to share and let his cousins take a turn riding on the truck as well.

I'm sure you are wondering what the Hippos in the title was for, and of course some of you might have figured out that someone (Hannah) got the game Hungry, Hungry, Hippos for Christmas. The kids all had fun playing it together. I played a few rounds with them and then Grandpa stepped in and played with them. Brant was so cute the first round because instead of trying to hit the switch to get the hippo to open his mouth to get the Hippo to eat it Brant would grab one of the marbles and then open the hippos mouth to feed it to him.

Brant had a great Christmas and is already asking for more of course, and we keep having to explain he has to wait until next year or at least his birthday coming up in March for more presents.

Here are some pictures from our last Christmas gathering.
