Wagons, Trucks, and Hippos OH MY!

We celebrated Christmas for the last time on Saturday December 27th at Brant's Great Grandpa and Great Grandma Allen's house. Brant started out the afternoon with a ride in Great Grandpa's new wagon with his cousins. The wagon was a HUGE hit with the kids and they all rode in it together and took turns pulling it except Hannah and Brant got a little help from Daddy to help pull his cousins Hannah and Lynzie in the wagon.

Before Christmas Brant's Grandpa Allen called me and asked if it would be okay if he got a remote control truck from both him and his Great Grandparents and I said that it would be fine he would probably love to have two to play with or to race Daddy with. To my surprise Grandpa Allen came into the house with a box that was almost as big as Brant and I was in shock, the truck that he got (a Chevy Silverado of course since he works for GM) was a size that the kids could ride on it and someone else could control it or it can be switched to manual control for Brant to control it himself (which will wait until he is older and can handle that). Needless to say the two trucks were nothing alike except for the fact that once we got them home we discovered that the remotes are on the same frequency and both work on both machines so we have to make sure they aren't both on at the same time if we don't want demolition derby trucks. Brant and the girls loved the ride on truck and Brant was nice enough to share and let his cousins take a turn riding on the truck as well.

I'm sure you are wondering what the Hippos in the title was for, and of course some of you might have figured out that someone (Hannah) got the game Hungry, Hungry, Hippos for Christmas. The kids all had fun playing it together. I played a few rounds with them and then Grandpa stepped in and played with them. Brant was so cute the first round because instead of trying to hit the switch to get the hippo to open his mouth to get the Hippo to eat it Brant would grab one of the marbles and then open the hippos mouth to feed it to him.

Brant had a great Christmas and is already asking for more of course, and we keep having to explain he has to wait until next year or at least his birthday coming up in March for more presents.
