Happy Anniversary

Today we celebrate eight years of marriage together! Jason got his dad to watch Brant overnight and we went out to eat at the Olive Garden and just had a nice quiet date night together. Jason also got me roses and a yummy Snickers Cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory! Jason got some new shirts from Mommy and Brant. Brant wanted to get Daddy a black Hawaiian shirt, but Mommy intervened and pointed him towards something else.

Here is a picture of us at the restaurant and my beautiful roses.

Happy Anniversary Jason, I love you!

Chocolate fun!

We went to the movies with Aunt Tina, Emily, and Claire after swim class and saw Madagascar 2. We didn't get any popcorn this time because the lines were long from a kid camp coming to the movies and we were already running late. You didn't do as well this time due to no popcorn and were a bit more chatty, but overall all three kids did a great job. After the movie we all treated ourselves to lunch at Chili's. Aunt Tina and I got cheese fries for us all to share and they were a hit with you especially dipping them into the ranch dip. The kids shared pizza and macaroni with fries and mandarin oranges. I was happy to see you loved the mandarin oranges and kept wanting more of those than the french fries. Aunt Tina and I got each of the kids a small brownie dessert in a shot glass. The kids all loved the chocolate goodness and got cute messy chocolate faces. While they were eating dessert I remembered that I had my camera in my bag and so I took a few shots of their cute messy faces. Here are the cute chocolate faced kiddos.

Swimmin' with Mimi and the Cousins

Aunt Jenny came over with Hannah and Lynzie to play early at our house while I helped Aunt Jenny with her digital scrapbooking Brant played with the girls. After nap time (which was only an hour since they all kept playing in bed except Lynzie who took a good nap) we met up with Mimi, Avery, Elissa, and Aunt Terri at our community pool for some swimming. The kids all had so much fun together. The floats that Aunt Teri brought were a huge hit and the kid spent a lot of time playing on them.

Here are some pictures from swimming time at the pool.

The Pole and Swimming

Brant can slide down the pole at the park by himself. He surprised Riley and I with this when I took the boys to the part together while Riley was staying with us during the day for the week. He did a great job, but of course when I tried to get it on video with my cell phone he didn't cooperate as well. He also did a great job at swimming class and can hang on to the wall climb out of the pool by himself, and then jump into the pool without the teacher's help. Here are the videos.

A busy week

Brant and I had a busy week when Riley came to stay with us during the day. Brant liked having Riley there and did a pretty good job sharing his toys with him. He kept asking to hold him and wanted to help play with him. He was jealous of the time I spent with Riley and could often be found climbing all over me while I'm trying to do something with Riley so that he can get attention too. Here are some pictures I took on the first day that Riley came to play at our house for the day.

So Excited!

I am thrilled to say that one of the designers and the owner of my favorite scrapbooking store Scrap Matters, Andrea (Andilyn Designs), has invited me to join her creative team and so now I get to help promote her designs get them before other people and get all her designs for free. I am so excited to have this amazing opportunity to do this with my digital scrapbooking and I am thrilled that she wants me to help represent her. I am just amazed because usually you have to submit an application and throw your hat in with a bunch of other people and hope for a spot, but Andrea personally sent me a message on the site asking me to join her team so that is such an honor and blessing. She is an amazing scrapper and she praised my scrapbooking and I was over the moon, and eagerly awaiting what to do next. I have been on her team this week and she has a new release coming out Friday an alpha that is cute and very versitile. I have started a new scrappin' blog to put up my scrapbook pages using Andilynn's awesome designs as well as others that I create. I have put the link on the side of my page for you to access easily. Please check out my new site to see the pages I create for my scrapbooks and help me share my love of scrapbooking with you all. If you want to check out Andilynn's store you can just click on the link here.

Silly Clown

We went to McDonald's today to get lunch with Aunt Tina and the girls (Emily and Claire), and the kids all got to meet Ronald McDonald get his autograph and get a picture taken with him. Brant kept calling him the silly clown. The restaurant was really crowded and we ended up eating at a folding table since there wasn't enough room for us at either of the two other available tables. The kids enjoyed meeting him and then they got down to the real business of playing in the playground. I didn't take any pictures of them playing but here are some pictures of them with Ronald.

Batter Up!

Brant got a t-ball set from his Great-Grandpa and Great-Grandma Allen for his birthday. We broke it out of the box today and set it up to play. He had so much fun. He would hit the ball, then I had him run around the tree (to represent bases of course), but he kept the bat as he ran then he would pick up the ball and start over. I'm sure we will be playing with this a lot over the summer and it is a nice easy thing to set-up and put away so that helps me out. Here are some pictures of my little ball player.

Movie Time!

After swim lessons we rushed off to meet Angela and Thatcher and some of their playgroup up at the movie theater for a free movie. It wasn't really free after the drink and popcorn I ended up spending about $11, but at least we didn't have to pay for tickets too. Thatcher didn't end up staying the whole time, because he got a little bored and was asking to go. Brant did great and sat still and was mostly quiet the whole time thanks to the bag of popcorn and juice he kept himself busy with while watching the movie. I took a few pictures one at the counter while we were ordering our snacks and some of him in the seats with his popcorn. Here are the pictures.

Swim Lessons

Brant had his first swim lesson on Friday night, and it went great! He loved that they gave him flippers to wear on his feet and goggles to wear. He had fun pretending one of the flotation devices was a weight and lifting it up over his head. He did really well even though he had the typical listening issues. I can't wait to see how he will progress as the time goes by and watch him turn into a good little swimmer. Thankfully they let me come inside and sit in a chair to get some pictures so here are some pictures that I took that night.
