Last Friday was our team's field trip to the Fort Worth Zoo. My teammate's wife Victoria generously offered to take Brant up to the zoo so that he could come along on the field trip with us along with her and their little boy Nolan who is six. Brant had so much fun at the zoo as we walked around with Victoria and Nolan. Nolan was a big help since Brant kept getting excited and would run off ahead of us. Nolan would run out in front of him spread his arms out wide and tell Brant "Red light!" They were so cute together. We saw a lot of animals at the zoo, but the boys really wanted to see the tigers, and I know Brant wanted to see the gorillas since he has been watching Tarzan the movie over and over again at home. He was convinced that one of the gorillas was Kirchack from the Tarzan movie and was trying to talk to him. We wanted to ride on the train, but the train was out for repairs so we had no luck there and both Victoria and I thought it was strange that at each depot they had two workers just sitting in the booth with a closed sign. I really liked seeing the young lion cubs that were a few months old and I wish I hd known when they were born so that we could have seen them when they were even smaller. After the zoo Brant got to go over to Nolan's house to play and he watched Madagascar and jumped on their trampoline and had a blast. I'm sure we'll have to go and visit them some over the summer since the boys got a long so well.
