Chillin' with the Cousins

Today Aunt Jenny, Hannah, Lynzie, and Molly came over to play. Aunt Jenny and Mommy played around with digital scrapbooking stuff while the cousins watched movies, and played with Brant's toys. After Brant took a nap we all went to our community pool to swim for a little while before they had to head back home. Here are some of the pictures from the pool.

Sprinklers and the hose

Today Brant got his first taste of playing in our sprinklers and playing with our hose outside in the backyard. I turned on our sprinkler system so he could play in the water first, he was very hesitant and kept trying to duck the water so he wouldn't get really wet. He brought one of his balls outside to play with in the water and he had a great time kicking it with me and throwing it and then going to get it to play some more. His favorite part was when I let him play with the hose in the backyard. He had a great time watering the fence, the tree, the patio, his slide, and different parts of the grass. He sprayed himself good in the face several times and tried (unsuccessfully) to drink the water from the hose. He was really cute playing in the water outside, and I'm having fun enjoying the time I have with him before I have to go back to work and he goes back to his school. Chisholm Aquatics Center

Tina and I took the girls and Brant out to a quick lunch at Whataburger and then took them to the Chisholm Aquatics Center. The kids had a great time playing in the water. Brant was too scared to get on the slide more than one time since I couldn't go down with him so I didn't get any pictures of him on the slide. I couldn't find my small camera so I just used my camera to take the pictures (I think I still got some pretty good ones). Here are the pictures from today.

The many expressions of Brant

Brant and I always have such fun together going to different things or just hanging out together around the house. I love how many cute facial expressions he uses each day. I took out the camera (I know, finally) and took some shots of him today and here are some of my favorite expressions. All of the pictures were taken within about 10-15 minutes this morning.

What we've been up to lately

Well I'm sorry it's been so long since I posted to the blog. We have been staying busy this summer going to Little Gym twice a week and usually going to the pool twice a week also. We have also gone to visit Brant's Aunt Tina and his cousins Emily and Claire often to play and this week we took them all to Chick-fil-a for lunch and playtime. This week he got to spend some time with his other cousins Hannah and Lynzie. Brant's Aunt Jenny brought his cousins over yesterday to play while I taught Jennifer some basics on digital scrapbooking (I think I might have her hooked on it now too). We all had a great time, and they are planning to come over again next week to swim at our community pool and then play at our house while I help Jennifer more with digital scrapbooking. I haven't taken any pictures lately so there are no new pictures to post right now, but hopefully I will have some soon. I need to keep my camera more readily available to record all the cute moments Brant has this summer before the summer is over. I'll try to post something next week with pictures. Crawford Farms Pool with the Girls

Yesterday we went swimming, we went to Little Gym, and then went to Wal-mart to get some noodles for Brant and our family since we did not have any. Brant had a great time playing with his noodle in the pool. We met Brant's Aunt Tina and her girls Emily and Claire at our community pool for some swimming. The girls have been taking swim lessons this year and this gives them some extra practice right after their lesson. Brant loves playing with Emily and Claire, but the girls do get a little annoyed sometimes that he can't tell them apart and make sure to tell him which one they are. Claire hurt her toe and was bleeding (she got bandaged up quickly by her Mom) while we were there so you might see some of her pictures where she looks more upset after that happened . We all had a great time together, and I'm just glad that I finally remembered to bring my camera to capture pictures of them together at the pool. Here are some pictures from yesterday.
