What we've been up to lately

Well I'm sorry it's been so long since I posted to the blog. We have been staying busy this summer going to Little Gym twice a week and usually going to the pool twice a week also. We have also gone to visit Brant's Aunt Tina and his cousins Emily and Claire often to play and this week we took them all to Chick-fil-a for lunch and playtime. This week he got to spend some time with his other cousins Hannah and Lynzie. Brant's Aunt Jenny brought his cousins over yesterday to play while I taught Jennifer some basics on digital scrapbooking (I think I might have her hooked on it now too). We all had a great time, and they are planning to come over again next week to swim at our community pool and then play at our house while I help Jennifer more with digital scrapbooking. I haven't taken any pictures lately so there are no new pictures to post right now, but hopefully I will have some soon. I need to keep my camera more readily available to record all the cute moments Brant has this summer before the summer is over. I'll try to post something next week with pictures. Hope you all are doing great.

Crawford Farms Pool with the Girls

Yesterday we went swimming, we went to Little Gym, and then went to Wal-mart to get some noodles for Brant and our family since we did not have any. Brant had a great time playing with his noodle in the pool. We met Brant's Aunt Tina and her girls Emily and Claire at our community pool for some swimming. The girls have been taking swim lessons this year and this gives them some extra practice right after their lesson. Brant loves playing with Emily and Claire, but the girls do get a little annoyed sometimes that he can't tell them apart and make sure to tell him which one they are. Claire hurt her toe and was bleeding (she got bandaged up quickly by her Mom) while we were there so you might see some of her pictures where she looks more upset after that happened . We all had a great time together, and I'm just glad that I finally remembered to bring my camera to capture pictures of them together at the pool. Here are some pictures from yesterday.

Water fun at Heritage!

Yesterday (Tuesday) we went to the Heritage community pool complex and met up with my friend Jackie from work and her two girls to hang out at the pool. We had a great time and Jackie and her girls were so good with Brant. He has three more girls that he loves to hang around now. We started out at one of the bigger pools, and then we went to the kids play area that has water slides, a huge bucket that fills and dumps with water, a small cone that fills and dumps water and many other water things to play with and on. Brant went down both of the water slides by himself and then went down them with me. He had fun playing with Emily, Courtney, and Jackie and they were a huge help to keep him entertained and from running off to far when something caught his eye. We ended up going back to the larger pool we started off in after playing in the kids area for probably about 45 minutes to an hour and played and had a snack then we dried off before we left. Brant was very upset to leave and was calling for his Jackie, his Courtney, and his Emily when we were driving off in the car, but it was late and we had to get home to get him down for a nap. We are looking forward to going back and having more fun times there with Miss Jackie and her wonderful girls. Here are some pictures from the day.

Well this is the last set of pictures from our trip to Florida to post on the blog. We went to Bush Gardens during our trip, and when we first got to the park we were excited to see a peacock and her three babies walking around together. The majority of the time was spent in the Land of the Dragons. The Land of the Dragons is a great kid playing area. Brant had such a great time he drove a car, a boat, and rode on a dragon carousel three times. He loved the water part of the best of course and spent a lot of time playing in the water. He also walked across two rope bridges with Mommy and Daddy and got a little scared there, but toughed it out and got across both bridges. We also went on the train that goes around the park where you get to see the animals. We didn't get to go all the way around though because it started to storm and they shut down the train and all the rides due to lightning. We waited around to see if it would stop, but we ended up walking in the light rain to where we left the stroller after waiting and seeing no end to the storm coming soon. We tried to see a show before we left, but they cancelled it also due to the lightning in the area. Since the rides were closed down Jason and Sandy didn't get to ride any rides, but I think we were all too tired anyway. We all had a great time seeing the animals and watching Brant have so much fun. Here are some pictures from our Bush Gardens day.

At the Beach

The second day we were in Florida we went to the beach after Brant had his nap. He was full of energy and had a great time running back and forth playing in the sand and in the water. He kept wanting to go into the "blue water" but that water was full of more seweed and was really dirty so he didn't go in. Here are a bunch of pictures from our day at the beach.

I got this idea from Angela to put the year in the sand and have his picture taken, but of course he didn't want to face the camera. He still looks super cute though.
