Little Gym End of Semester Ceremony

Saturday we went as a family for Brant's last class at the Little Gym in Southlake. He has really enjoyed going to Little Gym this summer, and he has really done a great job in class. At the end of the semester they give each of the students a medal for their achievements during the semester. Brant will now be attending on Saturdays so we should be able to take him together most of the time. We are so glad we enrolled him and we are looking forward to the new semester starting this week. Here are some pictures of Brant, Jason, and I during his class and a short video clip of him getting his medal from Rachel (one of the owners and a teacher at Little Gym).

Lovin' Little Gym

I took Brant to Little Gym yesterday, and took some pictures of him playing. He is doing so great and seems to really enjoy it. He can now do a forward roll by himself and today when his Daddy took him (he didn't have the camera) he walked on the medium balance beam by himself. He walked on the low balance beam for me yesterday and played around on the equipment. He loved it when the brought out the balls and a soccer goal net. He kept trying to play with the net like the basketball hoop he has and was throwing the ball he chose (a basketball) over the goal instead of kicking it in the goal. He did finally start to kick it in the goal after a while and did a great job, but soon he was back to throwing it over the top again. He also did some great jumping on the air track and even did a forward roll on it also. I love seeing how much he has blossomed under the care of his great teachers at Little Gym. He loves his teacher at the Southlake location Miss Ashlee and went to sit in her lap today while he was there with his Daddy. I did get a picture of him with Ashley on Friday since she will not be at the Southlake location when he goes for his last Southlake class next Saturday. He will be continuing with Little Gym in Keller on Saturdays since both Daddy and I will both be at work during the week. I am happy to say that Ashlee said that she would be moving to the Keller location to start the fall sessions. We hope that she will be his teacher for some of his classes since they get along so well. Here are the pictures from Friday.

Biking & Swimming

Brant and I went to the pool yesterday for a swim. Brant wanted to ride his tricycle to the pool, and since he does great riding it around the house and to get the mail I let him try it. He did an awesome job! He started out in the middle of the street so I had to try to make him go onto the sidewalk, but otherwise he did great! He loved playing with his toys, his noodle, and jumping up and down in the water. Here are some pictures and a short video clip I took of him yesterday on the trip to the pool and at the pool.

Fun with Boogie

No it's not what you think. Brant and I met my friend Angela and her son Thatcher (who is nicknamed Boogie) at McDonald's for dinner and some playtime. Brant loves Thatcher's nickname and kept saying it over and over in the car on the way home from McDonald's tonight. The boys had a great time, Thatcher is very good at being persistent and kept trying to climb up that yellow tunnel even though he didn't manage to get all the way up it yet (maybe next time). I think their favorite part was playing with the basketball game they have there. The boys kept missing the basket, but Brant managed to make one basket while we were there. I should have waited to play it with him since that is what they wanted to keep coming back to and didn't want to leave the balls. I'm glad that we had a chance to see Angela and Thatcher before Angela and I both start back to work next week. Thanks for the fun time Angela and Thatcher.

This was a big hit for the boys too of course since it had lots of buttons to push.

Happy Birthday Hannah!

Today we went to a pool in Arlington to celebrate Hannah's 6th birthday. She was having a combination birthday party with her friend Sarah. We went swimming in the pool, had some hot dogs and chips for lunch, and cakes or cupcakes for dessert (Jen made the cute swim cake, and Sarah's mom made the cupcakes), and of course they opened presents. Brant had a lot of fun playing with the beach balls they had at the pool, and was very interested in the rope that separated the shallow end from the deep end. Brant was very concerned that the rope was "stuck" because he couldn't move it and that someone should fix it because he kept telling everyone that the rope was stuck. He played with his cousin Hannah in the pool (Molly and Lynzie were in the deep end), his Aunt Jenny and his Uncle Rich, and of course Mommy and Daddy.
Here are the pictures from today.
