Happy Easter

We started out this Easter like all the others with sunrise service at church. We met Aunt Mo and Baby Riley there, but Grandma and Grandpa accidentally booked their vacation during Easter so they weren't there with us except in spirit. They boys were very good during the service and then we stayed to have a pancake breakfast prepared by members of the church. He looked super cute in his new clothes we bought with the money Mimi sent him for a new Easter outfit, so thank you Mimi! I didn't bring my camera with me so I don't have any pictures from church or breakfast. After church we went home to see what the Easter Bunny had left for Brant. He was excited to see his full Easter basket and all the eggs (30 in total 10 times his age) that were hidden in the living room for him to find. He looked at all of the stuff in the Easter basket and then was ready to hunt for the eggs. He took off without the basket at first and then he decided it was easier to take the basket around with him to put the eggs in rather than continuing to go back and drop them off in the basket once his hands were full. He also got to open his Easter basket from his Grandma and Grandpa and he was excited to see the toys and candy in that basket also.

When Brant woke up from his nap we went to his Great Grandma and Great Grandpa's house to celebrate Easter. He got to see his cousins Hannah, Lynzie, and Molly. It was Molly's birthday (and Aunt Tina's, but she had company so we couldn't go see her) so we all sang Happy Birthday to Molly had some wonderful food and of course some great desserts. He played chase with his Great Grandpa and cousins, and also with his cousins and Uncle Rich. He also attempted to learn the skill of throwing a ball using a ball thrower for his cousin Stephanie and Cody's dog. The dog LOVED Brant and didn't care that he couldn't get the ball to go very far despite Cody trying to teach him several times. Then the kids had an egg hunt. Brant came up with the most eggs and had a great time. He was not very interested in the money eggs and was more excited about the eggs he got that had jellybeans in them. It was nice for him to get to spend this time with his Grandpa, Great Grandparents, and his cousins. He had a great time with his Aunt Jenny, she taught him how to do knuckles and then blow it up. I'm not sure how well he will retain it, but he kept trying. He loves his Aunt Jenny and hopefully soon he'll get to go over and spend the night for some quality time with her and his cousins.

Here are the pictures from Easter Sunday.
