Vegas Baby!

Well we are back from Vegas, and we had a blast! It was so awesome of my parents to watch Brant for two days each so we could have our first vacation just the two of us since Brant was born. We stayed at The Hotel. Yes, the name of the hotel we stayed at was actually The Hotel, and it is attached to Mandalay Bay and we had privileges for everything at Mandalay Bay. Our hotel is all suites so are room was big and nice, especially compared to the tiny room we had at the MGM when we went to Vegas back in 2005 just before I found out I was pregnant with Brant. The first night we just stayed in an watched X-men on television because we were worn out. The second day we went to the beach at Mandalay Bay and hung out mostly at the Lazy River and relaxed in the sun, then we gambled some and went to see Howie Mandel, he was okay but his headliner was much better. The next day we went to the beach at Mandalay Bay and the Lazy River again, and then we went to the Aquarium in Mandalay Bay. We at a ton of wonderful food while we were there, the best meal was our first night in Vegas at Strip Steak and it was also our most expensive meal. They give you amazingly yummy potato bread and three different kinds of fries and dipping sauces as free appetizers. We each had a yummy steak meal there and had the waitress take our picture. Our second favorite meal was at Wolfgang Puck's restaurant at MGM before we went to see Howie Mandel we had some gnocchi bolonaise and a pizza and split it. The gnocchi was so darn yummy I would have eaten several plates of it. Everyone always says to eat at the buffets and so we tried the buffet our last night in Vegas and we weren't very impressed it seemed like overpriced Golden Corral food so we wont be going the buffet route again or at least the expensive buffet route. We really enjoyed the aquarium and Jason played some black jack, did some sports betting, and played a little slots while I just played the slots. We didn't win any money, but we had fun and didn't lose more than what we budgeted and we actually spent less than we had budgeted! All in all it was a wonderful trip and I am so glad we went. I am glad to be home though, and able to sleep in my own bed and have all the comforts of home like my computer and internet (they charged $15 a day for internet access at The Hotel so we only got it for one day). Here are some pictures from our trip.
