Vegas Baby!

Well we are back from Vegas, and we had a blast! It was so awesome of my parents to watch Brant for two days each so we could have our first vacation just the two of us since Brant was born. We stayed at The Hotel. Yes, the name of the hotel we stayed at was actually The Hotel, and it is attached to Mandalay Bay and we had privileges for everything at Mandalay Bay. Our hotel is all suites so are room was big and nice, especially compared to the tiny room we had at the MGM when we went to Vegas back in 2005 just before I found out I was pregnant with Brant. The first night we just stayed in an watched X-men on television because we were worn out. The second day we went to the beach at Mandalay Bay and hung out mostly at the Lazy River and relaxed in the sun, then we gambled some and went to see Howie Mandel, he was okay but his headliner was much better. The next day we went to the beach at Mandalay Bay and the Lazy River again, and then we went to the Aquarium in Mandalay Bay. We at a ton of wonderful food while we were there, the best meal was our first night in Vegas at Strip Steak and it was also our most expensive meal. They give you amazingly yummy potato bread and three different kinds of fries and dipping sauces as free appetizers. We each had a yummy steak meal there and had the waitress take our picture. Our second favorite meal was at Wolfgang Puck's restaurant at MGM before we went to see Howie Mandel we had some gnocchi bolonaise and a pizza and split it. The gnocchi was so darn yummy I would have eaten several plates of it. Everyone always says to eat at the buffets and so we tried the buffet our last night in Vegas and we weren't very impressed it seemed like overpriced Golden Corral food so we wont be going the buffet route again or at least the expensive buffet route. We really enjoyed the aquarium and Jason played some black jack, did some sports betting, and played a little slots while I just played the slots. We didn't win any money, but we had fun and didn't lose more than what we budgeted and we actually spent less than we had budgeted! All in all it was a wonderful trip and I am so glad we went. I am glad to be home though, and able to sleep in my own bed and have all the comforts of home like my computer and internet (they charged $15 a day for internet access at The Hotel so we only got it for one day). Here are some pictures from our trip.

Happy 4th of July

For the 4th of July Grandma and Grandpa came over to have dinner with us, but I neglected to get pictures of us all having dinner. You played with them and ate, and had a great time. This was great mini-practice since Grandma and Grandpa are going to be taking care of you while Mommy and Daddy go to Vegas for our first vacation just the two of us since Brant was born. You love to hang around lately in your underwear and watch TV, I caught you on the couch watching TV in your underwear. I did remember to take you outside for a few quick 4th of July shots before it got dark in your red, white, and blue shirt with your patriotic pinwheel. You are so adorable!

Super Stoked!

I am now creating for two more designers. I got added to the creative team for MickeyB Designs at ScrapMatters and Genia Beana Scraps at Scrapable. I just got started at Scrapable, but the people there are so sweet and friendly, and I even got the honor of being chosen for layout of the day for one of the layouts I posted yesterday. The layout that was chosen features a kit and template from Genia Beana designs. You can click on the side links to see my scrappin' blog to see more layouts. I've also added the scrappin' links to the sidebar if you want to check them out also. Here is the layout that got chosen.

Pool Time!

Today Aunt Mo, Aunt Tina, Emily, Claire, and Riley all came over to go to our pool to swim. You had a blast with the girls wrestling in the pool pushing each other and splashing water. Riley really liked the pool too. You played so hard that you got little blisters on your toes that opened up and your feet. It was so great to see all of the kids having so much fun at the pool together. The temperature of the pool was perfect and Aunt Tina and I just sat in the water to watch you play.

Here are some pictures from today.

Long Busy Day!

Today you spent most of the day at Grandpa's house after spending the night the previous night he took you to see Up! in 3-D and he said you LOVED it! You have told me about the movie when I came to pick you up about the bad man, all the balloons, and the talking dogs in the movie. After I picked you up we went home for an early dinner and then we went out to go see a concert at Angela and Thatcher's church. The concert was called God Rocks and you had a great time. I bought you a large blow-up guitar and it was a hit with you and a lot of the kids in our row that you were nice enough to share with. It was nice to see you having a great time at the concert playing your guitar, dancing and making guitar noises, and singing. You were very ornery and exhausted when we left the concert at 9 PM and did not want to go down to sleep since you were over-tired from having no nap that day. You finally went to sleep after putting up a fight for another 30-45 minutes. Here are a few pictures from the concert.
