Little Gym!

We went today as a family for Brant's first class of Little Gym in Keller. He had a great time and did participate the majority of the time. He was a shy some of the time, but since it was his first class that was expected. He got to play with bells, explore all the different mats, walk on a balance beam, play with a parachute, and play with balls and bubbles. He even got his feet stamped at the end of class with a stamp that reads "terrific". His teachers Mr. Rick and Miss Kellie seem really nice. I found out today that we also get a free class each week during June and July in Southlake. When we get back from Florida next week he will be going to Keller Little Gym on Mondays and then Southlake Little Gym on Fridays. I think between this, the pool, and playdates with his friends and cousins we will have a busy summer without having to spend too much time couped up in the house. Here are some pictures from today. I played with my lightroom software so the colors may be a little strange on some but I liked the effect.

Mimi's Party

Yesterday we went to Jason's Aunt Lisa's house to celebrate Mimi's (Jason's mom) birthday. Lisa has a fabulous backyard and a great pool. The kids had a great time playing at the pool and I had fun taking pictures of them. Brant got to wear his new lifejacket for the first time and he wasn't too sure about it for a while. He had fun playing with the diving sticks both holding them, tasting them and throwing them. He also wanted to take a turn in the pink float that he saw Mommy use earlier in the pool. Later we had hamburgers and hotdogs and the kids played on the swing set as well as playing in the pool. The majority of the time we were there was spent in the pool though. I'm glad we were able to go and celebrate his Mimi's birthday. We will be leaving soon to go and visit her at her house in Florida for a week. I hope to have a lot of great pictures and posts to share with everyone when we get back. I sent out a snapfish e-mail to allow Jason's family to share in the photos since there were more than 60 good ones and that would take up too much e-mail space. Here are a few of the pictures from yesterday.

Cool at the Pool

We went to the community pool this past Sunday as a family to go swimming. Jason had never been to the community pool and so this was his first time. We forgot to pack pool toys for Brant, but we had a ball for him to play with in Jason's truck. He had a great time playing with us in the pool. He even did his impression he learned from Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and tiptoed in the pool saying "tiptoe, tiptoe, tiptoe". We didn't stay longer than an hour, but it was a great first trip for us to go and spend some family time together playing at the pool. He also had fun when we left trying on his Daddy's sunglasses that Jason didn't end up wearing while we were at the pool. I look forward to many more trips to the pool with Brant this summer with and without his Daddy.

Icing Mustache

This Wednesday one of my sweet students Maddie gave me a cupcake to take home to Brant after bringing some for a project for Language Arts class. He did not have time to eat it on Wednesday so on Thursday I know it sounds backward, but I needed Brant to take a bath (he had wood chips all in his hair and smelled like sweat and sunscreen) so I bribed him with the cupcake to take a bath (he was starting to get fussy about not wanting a bath). Brant took a bath and afterward got to eat his cupcake. The cupcake did get mostly in his mouth but he did get quite a cute little yellow icing mustache and it started to curve around his mouth some into a goatee kind of like his Daddy's. I guess this is the closest he will get to having a goatee for a long while ( I hope). He loved the cupcake of course and asked for another one when he was finished, but there was only one and so I cleaned him up (after taking some pictures of course) and then we sat down to watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse together. I love the expression he showed while I was taking his picture. He has such joy in everything he does it is inspirational. Here are the pictures of him finishing up his cupcake.

My little Monkey

May 12, 2008

Brant really loves bananas and often asks for us to pick some up when he comes grocery shopping with us. I took some pictures of our little monkey eating his banana like a big boy at the table. He got upset each time we took the banana away to peel some more of the peel off for him to eat more banana. He is such a silly little monkey, and we love him. Here are some pictures of my little monkey.

Mother's Day

Brant and Jason sent me some beautiful tullips to school for an early Mother's Day gift. On Mother's Day Jason and Brant also gave me a gift card to get a 90 minute massage and I can't wait until I go get that done. On Sunday afternoon we all went out to lunch with my parents, and my sister and her husband Ryan. We had lunch and then Maureen, Mom, and I all went to go see Made of Honor at the movie theater. We had a great time having some girl time and seeing the chick flick (the movie was really cute). I got home and then spent some time with my two best guys (Jason and Brant) and then we put Brant to bed. It was a wonderful Mother's Day this year. I am also happy to say that my sister Maureen is pregnant and we now know that she will be having a baby BOY in October. I can't wait to meet my new nephew and I'm sure that he and Brant will have some fun times together once he arrives. I can't wait for my sister to experience the joy have had since I had Brant. Having a little boy is such a blessing, and I am so glad that she will be able to experience the same. Here is a picture of the tullips that my boys got me for Mother's Day.

Sorry about the delayed blogging

Sorry it has been so long since I blogged, but I'll be catching up in the next few posts on a few things with some pictures for you.
